Great item September 30, 2009
Reviewer: Pierre-Alain Savoie from Fredericton, NB Canada
This replica of the flux capacitor looks great.  You may notice that he dimensions and the color of the lights are slightly different if you compare it to the flux capacitor shown in the parking lot scene of the first movie (when Doc shows it to Marty for the first time).  On the other hand, it may be impossible to have those details exactly the same; especially if you want to have the lights of the flux capacitor to turn blue as when the "temporal displacement" (as they call it in the movie) occurs.  In other words, it is close enough to what you see in the movie and I am glad I purchased it.

Not Perfect, But Good. July 18, 2008
Reviewer: matt travis from jacksonville, AR United States
I am mostly satisfied with the product from Diamond Select although as another reviewer mentioned there are some problems. The product looks very similar to that from the first movie but a big differnce is that the lights on the Capacitor in the movie are yellowish and the lights in the product are white leds. When the movie was made they probably used regular light bulbs which would take alot more to power and leds are perfect for the battery power this replica has, which wasn't that big of deal for me anyway. The main thing that irritated me however is the complete lack of the details that are on the side of the product in the picture than are on the actual product that ships. Its something the average person you show your prop too wouldnt notice but to anyone buying it they will surely notice the differnce quickly. I can't imagine finding a better Flux Capacitor anywhere else and is a great but pricy collectors item for any BTTF fan.

Am I the only disappointed person? June 26, 2008
Reviewer: Stuart Reeves from Ashbourne, United Kingdom
I am genuinely disappointed in this product. It claims to be a 'replica', however it falls so short of the mark that I would refer to it as a toy. Firstly, the lights are the wrong colour, the most crucial element of the replica and they get that wrong. Sadly it's downhill from there. The brightness is of the bulbs is surprisingly dim. The housing is far too big and wholly inaccurate and also differs dramatically from some of the press pictures (all the side details have been lost). The labels are sporadically placed with no absolutely thought and the buttons came off in my hand. I was very excited about this product, but it seems to have been reduced to the lowest common denominator it could be by the time it got to production. Seriously save your money - you'll only regret it if you buy. I got the product 50% off the RRP and still feel that I've been robbed. Sorry folks.

A Very Nice Collectors Piece May 29, 2008
Reviewer: Josh Turchetta from Clarksburg, WV United States
Don't let the price of this item fool you. You ARE getting what you pay for, and it is worth every penny!

There is no real way to describe the size or weight of this replica, you have to hold it in your hands to see for yourself.

It is very well constructed with the outside enclosure cast in what feels like metal. The interior workings are all expertly done, with everything very clean and nothing that seems too delicate.

This might not be a 100% screen accurate piece but it is as close as you will get without paying hundreds more.

Its also the only officially licensed Flux out there.

To put it quite simply, it is a beautiful piece of movie art, and a welcome piece to the collection.

I recommend getting your name on whatever list you can to get on for yourself!

See you all in the future!

Great Prop! May 29, 2008
Reviewer: Declan Gantley from County Meath, Ireland
Flux Capacitor is Amazing , love the settings for the strobe speed and also the fact it runs on batteries.
Bigger than I thought will require some assistance to sit in the parcel shelf of your Delorean. But Heh! it's a flux capacitor
Thanks

Best Yet! May 20, 2008
Reviewer: Oliver Holler from N.Myrtle Beach, SC United States
This is a great prop!  Much less than half the cost if you tried to build it yourself -and effortless! (if you can press 'add to cart' button!)
The box is heavy metal! Not cheap plastic like I thought.
Solid hinges and metal latch!  All the l.e.d. lights and the strobe work on batteries!  Wow!
I like that the knobs are protected inside the easy-to-open lid so they won't get accidentally cracked off or played with by others.
I'm going to have fun with mine and maybe customize it with some wires and other stuff!

Flux Capacitor video review May 13, 2008
Reviewer: Mr. Stinkhead from Gaithersburg, MD United States
This thing is a beauty. I strapped it to my son's stroller to send him on a short trip.
The door opens and there are knobs for changing the frequency of the strobing lights. There are holes for easy mounting, and it looks like it came straight out of the movie.
